Finally, Soundwave received 20 lashes from Megtron himself, yet he didn’t release a sound. He was also resolved to blank out his visor, not letting it display any lines of dramatic fluctuations which would expose himself too much.
Being punished at the servo of Megatron had been one of the most gruesome nightmares for Decepticon soldiers since the war started. Starscream might be the exception but it was hardly the same for Soundwave. So he couldn’t help wondering if his failure was really intolerable enough to justify the punishment directly from his Lord personally.

Megatron left the brig as soon as the punishment was over, even without giving Soundwave a look.
After untied, Soundwave stepped out and tried his best to compose himself and avoid stumbling, showing bystanders the silent elegance which he always possessed.
He didn’t want to go to the medbay, besides, a period of solitary confinement was in order. So he just went back to his chamber and rested on his berth. Why he felt hesitated, he did not know. Perhaps this punishment dented not only his plating, but also his confidence. It should be plausible for now. He mentally criticized himself for soaking in sentiment. Seekers did this, not him.

At present, the most important thing to do was either to recharge or to deal with his injuries, otherwise the pain might consumed his system.
