An alternative universe where Decepticon soldiers are governed by strict military discipline
Relationship: Megatron/Soundwave
Warnings: mild angst; Implied/Referenced whipping
________
Lying on his berth, Soundwave couldn’t force himself to recharge. But he needed a proper rest. He had to, for he had experienced something frustrating early in this cycle.
His mission failed, despite his best effort. Therefore a standard punishment was reasonable.
It happened hours ago. Soundwave had to restrain the impulse of deleting the data from his memory files.
_________
He had been strung up by chains in the brig, like a statue of humiliation exhibited in a showcase.
Of course Megatron had given him an opportunity to defend himself before tying him up, but Soundwave had remained silent.
Would Megatron be disappointed with him? The thought plagued Soundwave rather than the anxiety about his compromised situation.
He’d probably better accept what he deserved, he decided.
There was nothing to do with responsibility. The telepath would never consider himself as a good mech, but a discreet speculator maybe, for he was always preparing to stab someone in the back. Nevertheless, this time, a slip occurred.
Over vorns Megatron had been generous in showing his approval and partiality by sending his TIC thousands of “excellent!”, which he had always been proud of.
Did it make him arrogant?
He could have exculpated himself from this failed mission to avoid a grave result. But what was that for? Seeking excuses would only make it worse for his already devalued credit.
So be it. After all, he was never meant to let his leader down. He dedicated himself to Decepticon cause with all the loyalty he was capable of.
