后来朱志鑫回了学校，一切都使他陌生，曾经友好的同学对他冷眼相待，曾经狂热的追求者也对他视若无睹，只有邱维维和谭柳会和他交流，就连考完试后的聚餐，要不是谭柳告诉他，他还不知道。
朱志鑫很努力，在二十岁的时候从大学毕业了。
“邱维维，我问你个事”
“咋了？”
“苏新皓去了哪个国家读研”
“……朱志鑫，你真的要去？”
“嗯”
“他去了英国，没说哪个学校”
“谢了”
“不客气，兄弟一场嘛！”
“哦对了，恭喜杀青”
“谢了”
一年后，朱志鑫坐在阶梯教室里，单手托着下巴，耳朵里的无线耳机放着最新的流行乐。
“Zhu Zhixin came to my office after class.”
朱志鑫眼眸暗了暗，站起身来，慢慢往外走。
“Zhu Zhixin, you're distracted again today.”
“I don't know why, but you've been distracted lately.”
“You tell me I'll do everything I can to help you.”
朱志鑫轻声说：“Teacher, I will adjust it as soon as possible.”
“That's good. You're smart. Keep trying.”
朱志鑫点了点头，走出了办公室。他掏出手机，播了一个熟悉的电话，用蹙脚的中文说：“姐，我想你了。”朱志曦有些惊讶：“怎么了？这么煽情？”朱志鑫小声说：“没什么，就是……最近睡不好，老做梦，梦大学那会儿。”朱志曦一愣，朱志鑫大学那会儿朋友不算多，只有五六个，最好的就是苏新皓……
“你看你中文说的，真难听！”
朱志鑫摸了摸鼻子，朱志曦岔开话题的能力没有见长。
“在国外待久了吧”
“嗯……”
朱志鑫有些难过，曾经相依为命的姐弟俩，也变得无话可说。
“好好吃饭，好好学习，注意身体……上完研究生就回来吧，别读了，姐姐想你了”
“不读了，我也想你了”
朱志鑫挂了电话，咬了咬下唇，就这样吧，读完研究生就不读了，不赌了。
“Zhu Zhixin, let's go to lunch.”
说这话的是Cassiel•Miller，是朱志鑫在英国最交心的朋友。
“OK, let's go.”
在食堂，有不少情侣，和中国不同的是，里面有几对同性情侣。朱志鑫羡慕的看着这些人，感叹了一句：“That's nice！”Cassiel问：“What's up？”朱志鑫解释道：“In China, homosexuality is discriminated against.”Cassiel耸了耸肩，说：“That's strange! Everyone has the right to be with the people they like!”朱志鑫无奈的笑了笑，说：“You don't understand. In China, it's a shame for children to be gay！”Cassiel惊讶的说道：“Oh, my God! I always think China is the best country in the world. I didn't expect such a thing!”朱志鑫笑了笑，说：“China is always the best country in the hearts of all Chinese people, but it's still a pity.”
