　　Counter-measures must be taken to curb the destruction caused by human beings. Most importantly, laws must be established to punish those who are involved in destructive conducts.

Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

To maintain our economy prosperity and stability, we have to be in full operations and spread the workload in industry fields. As a result, we may seek temporary economic development at the expense of the environment and resources. The consumption of natural resources has been a big problem. It is admitted that the world economy is booming with the satisfaction of environment. However, we have made a blunder by equating material prosperity with better living standards.

We are no longer able to breathe fresh air, take a walk in the woods or even look at the stars in the sky as the stars are obscured by smog and artificial lights.

　　Hence, we need to curb the quick tempo of life in order to protect our environment and ironically improve our life. Science and technology thus should be employed to create a harmonious relationship between mankind and nature. A better environment means much more than material comforts.
