英语比赛作文篇1

　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium. By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled.

　　The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start.

　　Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. There is a rest period between the halves.

　　During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other.

　　The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win. The ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. The whistle blew and the game was over. Home team won, 70 to 68.

　　今天我们到青龙中学（六中）去参加双语比赛，我到了以后发现同学们差不多已经都到齐了。然后我们便自己准备起了英语短文，这样可以等待还没有来的同学。等到同学们都来齐了，Ms yu便带领我们进去了。校园里边特别漂亮，喷泉花坛、全塑胶跑道、参天大树还有整齐的教学楼，我们带队的同学竟然被这美丽的风景迷住了，差一点儿就带着同学们走到操场上。但是幸亏Ms yu叫住了我们，然后我们围成一个圈表演，李晓曷第一个，她上去以后背的非常快而且中文没背就想下去，被Ms yu一下退了回去背了中文，我是第二个上去的，我表情自如，动作加的'非常到位但是Ms yu说我声音太小，语速太快。

　　终于工作人员过来说：“B组的同学比赛了，B组的赶紧过来！”我们排成两队走到大厅，然后工作人员点名，我是第6个。我们按顺序排好队后，就走进了初一九班，然后抽签按顺序号入座我15号、梅笑寒14号、宋淑涵13号和陈玥琦17号我觉得真的是太有缘了，第一组开始比赛了，是1—10号比赛。所以我们又等了漫长的几十分钟，终于轮到我们比赛了，我们进入了比赛场地，这时我看到了一个男老师，两个女老师，和一个女外教。夏侯杨子先上，他一上场就问了老师几个问题特别搞笑，然后才开始背的……，终于到了我上场了，我站的笔直背的英文流利，中文标准，声音洪亮的都可以听见回音了，外教的问题也都全部答对了。所有的参赛选手都答的非常好，我们就退场了，我们出来以后Ms yu紧张的问我们答的怎么样？我们都说答的很好，听了我们的回答她的脸上露出了满意的笑容…………等过了漫长的1个小时，成绩出来了，我得了97分！全组（35人）第一名！我当时心里非常高兴：我今天能取得这么优异的成绩，和Ms yu平时的辛勤辅导是分不开的，在这里我要感谢Ms yu！

　　希望我在复赛中，继续取得优异的成绩！

　　When early man invented clothes,he probably wanted to keep warm.I am sure he never intended that it should become as elaborate as it has become today.For many a year,traditional clothes and modern clothes have been in competition as to which of them make the wearer more beautiful.But it does seem that a lot of modern clothes are simpler and more practical.Perhaps we are moving back to the age of cavemen who wore clothes for practical purposes.

　　Modern clothes are definitely more practical as against traditional clothes.Almost all people now wear modern clothes.Nowadays even more and more people wear casual clothes.Jeans are everywhere except at formal parties.T-shirts are common,too.They look comfortable and fashionable.However,there are also a lot of people who take the trouble to dress well in formal clothes like shirts,trousers and suits.I find them smart,too.

　　But then,it is important to hold on to our topic.In my opinion,each type of dress has its place.Modern clothes are ideal for most situations,while casual clothes are worn more freely.As to traditional clothes,they must be worn for special occasions

　　今天晚上，霄霄哥哥一进家门就提议道：“我们举行一场英语比赛吧！”我和洋洋哥哥也不甘落后，异口同声的说：“比就比。”

　　妈妈为我们设定了比赛规则：比赛分为笔试和口试。第一名三元钱，第二名二元钱，第三名一元钱。霄霄哥哥兴致高涨，迫不及待地想看看题目。我胸有成竹地坐在沙发上看书。洋洋哥哥听了心里直打鼓。比赛开始了，霄霄哥哥侧着身子，把“卷子”放在桌子底下，以免被洋洋哥哥偷看。洋洋哥哥在一旁抓耳挠腮，眼睛不时地瞟一眼霄霄的“卷子”。我躲在一个房间里飞快的做完了自己的题目。我忐忑不安地拿给妈妈改分，心像小兔子一样“碰碰”直跳。我的分数出来了，是九十五分，这是因为粗心的'我把Tuesday写成Tuseday了。虽然如此，我还是松了口气。因为两个哥哥成绩都没我好。口试的时候所有的题目都很简单，大家全得了满分。于是我得了第一名。我高兴得眉开眼笑，身体里的“小白兔”好像也在为我高兴呢！

　　啊！这真是一场充满紧张和快乐的英语比赛。
