在西方，圣诞节是一个重要的节日，据说圣诞节是来纪念耶稣的，传说圣诞夜还会有圣诞老人出现，如果你在床头挂圣诞袜，圣诞老人可能会偷偷地在圣诞袜里放上圣诞礼物。而在我们学校就过了一个在圣诞夜上过的圣诞晚会。
让我们扣人心弦的英语即将来临，我们个个都心潮澎湃。在英语晚会到来的前几天，同学都在忙着把自己班的教室打扮很绚丽、新颖。我们教室也不赖，在教室的灯上，挂着五颜六色的彩带，灯一开，彩带就会发出耀眼的光芒，在讲台上面，还有一串雪花，正中间，还有大铃铛，窗子上，到处贴的都是雪花，好像真的下雪了一样教室的后门最花了，各种彩带都挂了下来，光彩夺目。我们再把桌子移到周围，中间空出。教室布置好了，就只要等待英语晚会到来。
让我们苦苦等待英语晚会终于到来了，那天晚上，我们早早地用好晚餐，快步流星地来到教室。英语晚开始了，我们同学们都把自己带的'零食发好，接着就打开电视观看表演，看完，就开始班级表演。同学们一边带着圣诞帽津津有味地吃着零食，一边欣赏同学表演的节目，真是不亦乐乎。第一个节目是唱歌，表演完后，掌声一阵阵响起来，下一组是我表演课本剧，表演完，只听一阵掌声，我悬着的心终于放下了。后面几组表演完后开始玩游戏，接着又开始。过了一会儿，“圣诞老人”来了，全体同学都拥了过去，全班立即沸腾起来。
一个多姿多彩的英语晚会过完了。
