大熊猫不在高处活动，一般都在陆地上生活，跟松鼠相反。大熊猫性情孤僻，喜欢独居，并常常因为季节的变化改变居住的地方，没有固定的居住点。春天一般呆在3000米以上的高山竹林里。夏天迁到竹枝鲜嫩的阴坡处。秋天搬到向阳山坡上准备过冬。
