I'm often afraid to cross wide streets. I always walk to the traffic lights and walk on the crosswalk. But many times when the traffic lights turn green, I feel scared.
I still need to look in two directions to check the traffic condition. In many cases, a motorcycle or bicycle is speeding, or a truck is passing a red light and passing by pedestrians. When I have a bicycle, I get out of the car and walk across the street, but there are always people running the red light.
Once at the intersection near National Taiwan University, I saw an accident: a taxi stopped to wait for the red light, and another truck came from behind, for It's very important for us to abide by the traffic regulations.
