“天啊，为什么每天的英语单词都这么多啊！”几乎天天都能听到我和同学们的感叹。回想小学时，一学期也学不了多少新词。而现在，英语笔记本是消耗最大的一本本子，甚至一天学的生词，与一学期的相差无几。繁重的英语单词“压”得我喘不过起来，就连写其他作业时，我嘴里也不时轻声念叨着。
最怕的，还是英语考试了。我像极了寓言中写到的.那个捡一个玉米棒掉一个的大灰熊：面对厚厚一本英语本，看着那些以前学过，可现在早已忘记的单词，我的大脑一片空白——当然，考试成绩也不尽如人意。学英语，真是一件“苦差事”啊！

当然，学英语也并非完全在苦海里“挣扎”。南外的英语课，充满了趣味：每节课都会播放一首英文歌，课前也有同学上讲台演讲。而且老师们一直在教我们地道的句型和实用的表达方法。我永远也不会忘记，当逛商场时发现药店门口写着pharmacy时的激动；坐地铁时看到Olympicstadium的激动……我感到所有事物正以一种从未有过的方式重组，正如用截然不同的方法诠释整个世界。大概这就是学英语的魅力所在了吧！

于是，我问他：“东怎么读？”他答道：“west”，我倒吸了一口冷气，又问：“北怎么读？” “east”他毫不犹豫的答到。天啊!全颠倒了。我一时被他弄得哭笑不得。我先教表弟复习了英语26个字母，随后，我又叫表弟给我背了一遍音标。然后我才真正的教弟弟学今天学过的单词，我一个单词一个单词的教，他一个一个的跟着学，我们俩一边写一边读，经过一番苦战后，他还是没有学会，怎么办呢？我想起我学英语时我的.老师教我的小窍门了，我就把这些小窍门教给他，我对他说：“你可以用小句子来记单词，如：chess就可以很快的记住。”我说完后，就教他说饶口令：两条蛇、下象棋、坐车里。他随着我放的音乐，也跟我说了起来，后来，我又教他用这种方法记那四个词语，他不一会就记会了。
在这个基础上我又教了他down这个单词，我跟他说：“d表示地球，因为你一往下看就是地球上的土地；o表示地球的结构是圆的，像鸡蛋；wn表示无门的意思。他们连在一起就是地球像鸡蛋一样无门可进。”这样下来，弟弟对英语的兴趣增长了许多。怎么样，我这个小老师还不错吧，嘻嘻！
