08年7月18日19时，仲夏梦之夜——东方之子中英文朗诵会在北校区一楼大厅正式开始。学校二十多位教职工均参加了此次活动，其中六位资深教师众望所归担任评委;十三名参赛者的朗诵声情并茂，各具特色;校长的穿插主持和总结陈词幽默而精彩；舒缓的背景音乐更为此夜营造了梦的氛围，朗诵会在老师们的阵阵热烈的掌声中结束。 此次活动旨在促进教师之间的交流，丰富教师的课外生活，创建独特的校园文化。同时，参赛者标准的英语口语更展示了东方之子外国语学校教师的业务水平，也对他们在交流对比中发现不足，不断提高自己的口语水平有促进作用。
朗诵会形式多样，内容丰富，十三名朗诵者既有中文版式又有英语形式，内容涉及社会、生活的多个方面。英文版中唯一的男选手常宏以《TopStar-YaoMing》开始了仲夏梦之夜，演讲中常老师介绍了作为nationalhero的姚明的出色的技术以及同样优秀的人格。刘慧老师的《Topic》虽然简洁，却从容自然，以清新之感引人注目。复杂的生活往往让人很难从中寻找到平衡，而邵晓超老师的《Life’sBalance》却用四句Don’t告诉大家如何在工作、家庭、朋友、健康、精神这五项生活中不可或缺的`要素之间找到平衡。从生活中走出，大家又随刘璐老师一起走进泰戈尔的《TheMostDistantWayInTheWorld》去品味经典。参赛者中年龄最小的苗琦惠以《Mum,PleaseDon’tCry》将真挚的感情在抑扬顿挫的声情中表现的淋漓尽致，一声声的“Mum,PleaseDon’tCry”让大家的心随着她感情的变化起伏着、震动着……最后，李校长的朗诵更为别开生面，雨天诵《雨巷》，在缓缓的音乐中将全场的情调浸上了一层浪漫，中文版的形式更是万绿丛中一点红，成为全场的亮点。
赛后，李校长就此次活动进行了总结，希望借此次活动增进教职工之间的交流，大家能够更加团结一致，齐心协力，为把东方之子外国语学校的事业做大做强，把学校办成淄博市最好的学校这一共同的梦想并肩奋斗。

My deskmate is Xu Qiong,not how beautiful.There is a mole on the face,wearing a long pigtail.She loves to play rock paper scissors,also love to buy something to eat.Her maths homework quickly,usually a few before the class.But she was always do wrong,sometimes she again and again to correct or wrong,finally.No way she had to turn to me for help,I began to carefully taught her.With my help finally done.Then she excited in the seat,as if in the heart cry:" I do!"
Although she doesn't study how,but I quite admire her.I learned a lot from her,she will find a lot of small games,let us enjoy the play; she finished her homework very quickly.

我的同桌叫徐琼,不怎么漂亮.脸上有一颗黑痣,扎着一根长长的辫子.她喜爱玩剪刀石头布,还爱买东西吃.她做数学作业动作很快,通常都是全班前几名.但是她很粗心老是做错题,有时她一次次的改正,最后还是错了.没办法她只好向我求援,我就开始仔仔细细教起了她.在我的.帮助下终于做对了.这时她兴奋的坐在座位上,心中好象在呐喊：“我做对啦!”
她虽然学习不怎么样,但是我还是挺佩服她的我从她那里学到了很多东西,比如她会发明很多小游戏,让我们尽情的玩；她完成作业的速度很快等等.
