创作背景
马未都：《人间四月天》，到底是为谁写的？儿子还是情人？
这首诗发表于1934年4月的《学文》1卷1期上。关于这首诗有两种说法：一是为悼念徐志摩而作，二是为儿子的出生而作，以表达心中对儿子的希望和儿子的出生带来的喜悦。
梁从诫先生在《倏忽人间四月天》中说：“父亲曾告诉我，《你是人间的四月天》是母亲在我出生后的喜悦中为我而作的，但母亲自己从未对我说起过这件事。”对于这首诗的创作意图，梁先生说得很客观。故这首诗一方面是一首情诗，是为已在天国的徐志摩而作。另一方面，林徽因是一个母亲，有着对孩子强烈的母爱，为孩子写一首这样轻快灵动的诗也是绝对可能的。[6]

当代作家白落梅：林徽因遗留下的诗作有五十余首，唯独这首《你是人间的四月天》，让人一见倾心，刻骨难忘。于是每个春暖时节，人间四月，必然会想起这个叫林徽因的女子。捧读这首诗，无论处何季，置何地，总有一种如沐春风之感。从此，林徽因永远活在人间四月天，永远那般清丽脱俗。她如同春天一样有着不会老去的华年。（《你若安好，便是晴天 林微因的人间四月》）[9]
作者简介
林徽因（1904—1955）原名徽音，福建闽侯人，建筑师、作家、新月派诗人之一。其一生著述甚多，其中包括散文、诗歌、小说、剧本、译文和书信等作品，其中代表作为《你是人间四月天》，小说《九十九度中》等。出版的诗集有《林徽因诗集》等。
