“Hey, are you sure you want to do this? You don’t look too good.” Jisung says as he watches Changbin stare intently at the floor, refusing to make eye contact with him. “If this is something you aren’t comfortable with then we can go back and I’ll understand that. But there’s no way in hell I’m gonna sit here and watch you wallow over whatever stupid thing that is going on. So I’m telling you right now, stop being a stubborn asshole and start acting like someone who actually gives two shits about you!” He yells, startling the other.

It’s silent for what seems like hours until Changbin finally speaks up. “I guess...it would be nice to see you again. It was just never really the same without you around, y’know?” He mumbles quietly, staring intently at the ground. Jisung nods slowly in response, understanding completely. The two were still best friends but they had drifted apart after everything that happened in senior year. They stayed close, of course, but it had been difficult for everyone to maintain an emotionally stable relationship with everything that went down. Especially when they couldn’t tell each other what was bothering them. Jisung didn’t know if he ever truly understood how much pain those words and actions caused Changbin.

He looked away as tears began to form in his eyes, clearing his throat before saying anything else. “Well then,” he says as he turns towards Changbin, giving him a small smile. “Let’s get going then. We should probably head out to my car so we can get there sooner rather than later. It might rain or something though, so take an umbrella with you okay?” His voice softens slightly, the sight of Changbin’s puffy red eyes getting to him a bit. He wasn’t sure why he cared, it wasn’t like anything could possibly happen between them. After all, there wouldn’t have been any point, anyways. Changbin had made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with him anymore. And even though that hurt, he understood why. He had been pretty cruel to the other boy, pushing Changbin to where he was. Even if he hadn’t meant to, he did end up pushing him to where it eventually ended up affecting both of their relationships.

Changbin sighs as he grabs his keys from his desk, nodding in response. “Yeah. Sure thing.” He says as he looks into Jisung’s eyes, not realizing just how close they were standing together. He quickly takes a step backwards before turning around and heading out of the room, walking past the younger. “We should leave soon so we won’t be late for our first day.”
