►用法归纳

①常与when, before, by, by the time, by the end of等引导的时间状语(从句)连用。状语从句常用一般过去时。

eg：By the time I was six, I had already started learning to play table tennis.

到我六岁时,我已经开始学习打乒乓球了。

②表示从过去某一时间开始，持续到过去另一时间的动作或状态。与“for＋时间段”连用, 谓语动词用延续性动词。

eg：He had been ill for a week when we learned about it.当我们知道这件事时，他已经病了一周了。

③主句谓语动词为一般过去时(如said, asked, found, told, thought等),其后的宾语从句通常用过去完成时。

eg：Mr. Zhang said that he had lived in this city for ten years.

张先生说他已经在这个城市住了十年。

You told me that you will study abroad. I would like to offer some safety tips.

Firstly, you should make friends with people who are kind and helpful. People who can't control their emotion very well(脾气不好) can be harmful to(对...有害) others. You shouldn't make friends with them.

Secondly, you should keep away from danger. In order to keep safe, you should always lock your doors and windows.

Besides, never go out alone. You should go out with friends . Don't take too much money with you. We should take care of our things. We mustn't let out(泄露) our own important information.

All in all, you should be careful about(对...小心) both your friends and your life. Hope you will have a good school year.

Today, people are trying to achieve the Chinese dream. It's also important for us to make an effort. I think we should do something.

Firstly, we need to set a goal for ourselves. A clear goal can show us where to go and what to do. Secondly, as students, it's our duty to put more effort in study. We should create an interest in what we learn. Then find some learning methods which are suitable for(适合某人) us. Thirdly, it's not enough to just study hard. we should also exercise more and keep healthy. Because it is the most important thing for us. Last but not least, we are supposed to learn good things not only from our teachers and friends but also from our parents. As we all know, parents have lots of experience which is helpful to our improvement.

We are all running very hard and we are all dream chasers.（追梦人） In my opinion, if everyone realizes their dreams, our nation's dream can certainly come true. And our motherland will become stronger and stronger. So let's take action now!
