雅各布上校(英文)

In the days that followed, Jacob dedicated himself to being by his wife Diana's side. They created a life together that was truly beautiful and filled with love and joy. After the pain and loss of losing their son Johnam, they found solace in each other and in the simple pleasures of daily life.

They spent their days taking long walks in the parks of The Hague, having cozy dinners by the fireplace, and sharing stories and laughter. They traveled to nearby towns on weekends, exploring new places and meeting new people. Every moment they spent together was precious and helped to heal the wounds left by Johnam's passing.

The years went by, and the memories of that tragic loss slowly faded under the warmth of the happy times they shared. But as fate would have it, their time together wouldn't last forever. In May of 1966, Diana suffered a stroke and was rushed to a hospital in The Hague. Despite the best efforts of the doctors and nurses, she couldn't be saved and passed away.

When Jacob received the news, his heart broke all over again. But this time, instead of expressing his grief loudly, he chose silence. He sat by himself in a corner of the hospital waiting room, tears streaming down his face in quiet sadness. There were no words to express the depth of his pain and loss.

After the funeral, Jacob went back to their villa and started living alone. The house that once echoed with Diana's laughter and their shared conversations now felt empty and quiet. But Jacob was determined to carry on, not because he had forgotten Diana, but because he knew that's what she would have wanted.

He spent his days looking through old photo albums, reminiscing about their life together. He would often talk to her in his mind, sharing his thoughts and feelings as if she was still there with him. The garden that Diana loved so much became his refuge, and he spent hours tending to the flowers and plants, remembering how she used to do it with so much love and care.

Even though he was alone, Jacob knew that Diana's spirit lived on in the house and in his heart. And so, he continued to live each day, carrying her memory with him always.
