Eternal is the second episode of the third season of Fractures and the 20th episode overall. It uses WE ARE FURY's song with the same name and focuses on the Endstone Crusaders, who are on a mission to retrieve one of the End Crystals, as well as Ciara's quest for vengeance.

Synopsis

The crusaders invade the Piglin King's lair to take back the End Crystals.

Plot

In a Frostbourne Tavern, Kane describes to the rest of the Endstone Crusaders their plan to obtain an end crystal guarded by the Piglin King. Stella, confused, questions why the Nether has two kings. Kane explains that the Piglin Kingdom were an independent group that ran supply lines for King Naeus. Rain realizes that taking down the Piglin Kingdom will give the Frostbourne an advantage in the war. Ciara wishes to be the one to kill Porkshire, to which Kane strongly disagreed with. He brings up the point that the last time she hunted the Piglin King ended in her death. Ciara, knowing that being an Undead Human has its advantages, vows to end the battle she began so long ago.

Later, Frostbourne soldiers escort the horses the group used, back to the Netherbane Tavern. Stella waves goodbye to her horse, Kane shows Rain a Golden Flintlock, and Ciara watches from a distance, thinking about the events that would soon happen. The squad goes over the plan again, before creating a Nether portal with the help of Stella's magic, and entering the hellish dimension. They travel to the Piglin Bastion, where a small army of Piglins was waiting for them. Kane helps Stella, Ciara, and Rain take out Piglins, before grabbing his cleaver and dueling the Piglin Brute. He eventually kills the Piglin, with Ciara and Stella's aid.

The squad ventures into the Crimson Forest. Narrowly avoiding a Zoglin, the group quickly makes their way to the Piglin Castle, passing a small hut. Ciara looks up at the castle, before drawing her karambits and charging inside. She easily takes down the guards at the entrance, and opens the gate to the throne room. As the gate closes shut, Rain, Kane, and Stella realize that the hut they passed housed a Mutated Piglin, and that the Zoglin they encountered earlier led him right to them. While the trio fights the Piglin, Ciara takes on Porkshire and his guards. Before long, Porkshire had disarmed Ciara and had started choking her. Rain, Stella, and Kane, after also having difficulties, regrouped, and worked together to take down the Piglin. Ciara, on the brink of passing out, grabs a karambit and stabs the Piglin King to death. She emerges from the throne room, End Crystal in hand.

This is the first main-series Ciara-centric episode, and the second Ciara-centric episode follow Nightmares.

This is the third episode to use a song by WE ARE FURY, preceded by Nightmares and Poison.

Coincidentally, all three WE ARE FURY songs have been used for Netherbane-centric episodes.

This is the second animation to use a remix instead of the original song, being preceeded by Cold as Ice: The Remake.
