Plot
Outside the Frostbourne Castle, Ser Patrick and Lady Azura address the Frostbourne soldiers, rallying spirit and reminding them of the importance of the battle, that the fate of Minecraftia and humanity shall be decided by the following battle between the Nether Horde and the humans. However, the odds are against them and even some leaders such as Daryll question if it is worth it.
Elite Evergreen, who is shown killing multiple pigmen in a razed village, is soon forced to fight against the rushing army. Ser Patrick studies a map, taking in the devastating numbers of the Nether.
Ceris is beheaded by Naeus in front of the last endermen, her eyes full of despair. Rain, sensing the death of Ceris through his Ender Eye in the Tundra cliffs, stares in shock while Stella and the Netherbane look curiously.
Hilda with the Footsoldiers and Airships, staring down the Pigmen Commander and his forces.
The Frostbourne reinforcements arrive at the Far Plains; the Frostbourne Footsoldiers, Frostbourne Cavalry, Bandits and Elytra Corps, led by Hilda, Ser Patrick, Daryll and Doraine Wintona respectively. The Horde charges at them, led by Hogsworth and the Pigman infantry with skeletons and blazes at the side. Upon Hilda's signal, they send a volley of arrows, tearing apart in the Nether's formation, exposing a vulnerability.
The Frostbourne Footsoldiers charge the pigmen while Daryll and the Bandits attack the skeletons and blazes, and Azura and the Elytra Corps shoot at the collection of Ghasts and Blazes in the sky, leaving the Airships. Ser Patrick and his forces quickly charge in, mowing over the Horde. Hogsworth duels the Grandmaster, but is ultimately impaled, however he remarkably survives the attack.
Naeus and Kralos leading the Wither Skeletons into battle.
The ground quakes as the Ancient Portal rises and a wave of portals ambush the survivors. Bearing Ceris' armblade, Naeus and Kralos coordinate the reinforcements, and additional aerial mobs pour into the sky against the aerial defense.
Azura is soon challenged by the Wither, to which she launches into a high stakes aerial battle against it. Utilising her size and guns, as well as Ghast's fireball, she is able to defeat the Ghast and Wither; however, she is soon wounded by Naeus using his lightning. Ser Patrick ditches his naginata to catch her, and flees as the King unleashes an Arcane Lightning storm on the Frostbourne, who flee as well, though some stay behind.
As the Archer Captain falls below, Doraine tries to hold off the oncoming Blazes. Whether by her own actions or her firey foes, the Capital Airship explodes, killing Doraine and any nearby mobs.
Daryll challenging Naeus for the survival of the Frostbourne.
Realizing as the ship above him explodes what he has to do, an injured Daryll attempts to bring down Naeus in a final stand. Firing a gunshot at the Nether King to distract him from the retreating survivors, he is met with Naeus rushing towards him, armblade at ready. Rushing towards Daryll, the bandit fires a shot at Naeus, who dodges it and stabs Daryll in the chest. However, this was what the bandit had wanted, and simply grabs Naeus's arm, shooting his leg. Naeus tries to pull away, seemingly questioning why the bandit would throw his life away to stop him. It is presumed this is left unanswered, as they then watch the Capital Airship crash into them, killing Daryll and severely wounding Naeus.

Trivia
This episode is the finale of the second season of Fractures.
The animation is not a remake of Cold as Ice, but it uses a downbeat recreation of the original song.
This is also the first animation to use a remix instead of the original song.
It was originally drafted that the animation would use the song Coming Alive by Blacklite District, however this was changed.
The animation was first announced as Cold as Ice: The Remake, before being renamed to Cold as Ice (REMIX) in several announcements. This was reverted at the official premiere again, the same as the song it uses.
According to a post by Rainimator in his discord, the inspiration for Cold as Ice: The Remake was Total War: Warhammer 2, the same as Ender Wish.
This is the first episode in series Daryll is seen using axes.
He has been hinted at having the ability to use axes in his lorebook description.[1]
This episode marks the debut of Hilda, the Frostbourne Shieldmaiden and Commander of the Footsoldiers, and the debut of the Elytra Corps subfaction, headed by Lady Azura and Doraine Wintona.
This also marks the debut of Airships and traditional Elytras.
This episode ties with Cold as Ice for the debut of the most female characters, with Hilda and Doraine for the Remake and Ceris and Lady Azura for the Season 1 episode.
Iron Golems appear for the first time since We Are the Danger.
This is the first and only episode of Season 2 to feature members of the Rainimator Production Team (Doraine Wintona and Elite Evergreen), and the first episode to do so since 1 of a Kind.
This is also the first time a female member of the Production Team (Dexter) has appeared in the series, and the first time one has led a faction or sub-faction.
Doraine is also the first member of the Frostbourne to kill another, with her airship causing the death of Daryll, albiet indirectly.
This episode holds the record for most sub-factions introduced in a single episode, alongside We Are the Danger.
The Frostbourne Archers and Elytra Corps make their debut in this episode.
This marks the first time the Frostbourne Footsoldiers and the Frostbourne Cavalry have been seen in series since their appearance in We Are the Danger.
This is the second time the Frostbourne have ever faced the Horde head on in-series.
It is also the second time the Frostbourne have lost to the Horde, the first defeat was in We Are the Danger.
This episode marks the death of the last original Ender Watcher, with the permanent death of Ceris.
Her decapitation echoes her decapitation of Herobrine in the series one finale, Goodbye.
This is supposedly the last appearances of Doraine Wintona, Elite Evergreen and Daryll as well.
This is the third time Rainimator has used assistant animators.
EliteX1XCrafter created the Unnamed Village scene, the Calvary charging Skeletons, the Airships and Doraine's downed Airship.
QC Animations created Rain, Stella and the Netherbane's scene.[2]
This episode holds the record of the most characters to appear.
This is the most-viewed video in the series at its premiere, with 30K views as reported by Rain Olaguer on his Twitter.[3]
